Details of the tournament that Team BC will be participating in late December 2012 - early January 2013 were revealed this past Monday (September 24) when All American Games (AAG), owners of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, announced officially the start of an all-star international football series called "FBU International Games."
The FBU International Games, part of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Week celebration, will feature a five-team series ending with a semi-final and championship game taking place on Saturday, January 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
The semi-final game is slated for 8 am CT (4 am PT) and the championship game is scheduled for 8 pm ET (5 pm PT).
The inaugural games will feature more than 160 U-19 football athletes comprising the rosters to five teams: Europe, Canada/Montreal, Canada/BC, Mexico and the United States.
The FBU International games will feature top athletes selected from FBU North America and FBU International Games held from September 2011 to September 2012. Canadian teams (nalemy BC and Montreal) are exempt from this rule and are free to select coaches and players who are not FBU Alumni to participate in the games.
The FBU International Games celebration officially kicks off when athletes arrive at the start of Bowl week on Sunday, December 30 through Sunday, January 6. In addition to daily practices and games, the athletes and coaches will participate in many Bowl Week celebrations, events and activities.
