The BC High School Football playoffs got underway in full swing this past weekend and Football BC's content team was on hand to catch the defending champion South Delta Sun Devils begin their road to getting back to the Subway Bowl on Friday facing a very tough Mt. Boucherie Bears team.
The Sun Devils looked to be cruising to a victory after taking an 18-point lead just after half-time, but the Bears then turned their game up rallying to take a one-point lead at one point.
Undaunted, the Sun Devils, led by running back Grant McDonald, continued to pour on the offence only to watch the Bears continue to counterstrike.
Eventually, however, the Bears just could not keep up as the Sun Devils would take a 59-49 victory to set up a meeting with the Terry Fox Ravens in the quarterfinal.

The Thunderbirds are now one win away from advancing to the Vanier Cup. They take on the St. Francis Xavier X-Men this Saturday, November 21 at 1 pm PT (Sportsnet 360) in the Uteck Bowl.
