Football BC is excited for the start of the biggest party of the year as the 102nd Grey Cup Festival lands in Vancouver this week. There’s plenty of football activity both on and off the field leading up to the big game on Sunday between the Calgary Stampeders and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Here are some of the must-attend events!

Football BC Hometown Grey Cup Heroes Fundraiser
Join Football BC as we kickoff the start of Grey Cup weekend with a fundraiser in support of Team BC and celebrating homegrown players who have won a Grey Cup at Ceilis Modern Irish Pub in Kitsliano. Tickets are just $35 and include two drinks, appetizers and plenty of football talk. Tickets are available here.

Blakes CFL Alumni Legends Luncheon
The Blakes CFL Alumni Legends Luncheon will bring together the legends of CFL past and present to celebrate the history of the league. Hosted at the Vancouver Convention Centre West, the luncheon will have three courses. Former BC Lions legend Lui Passaglia (Notre Dame Jugglers, SFU Clan) will be honoured at this event. Canadian Football Hall of Fame Party

Save-on-Foods Grey Cup Parade
The Save-on-Foods Grey Cup Festival Parade is set to begin at 10 am from Smith and Hornby and will travel north on Burrard with the Grey Cup, CFL alumni and other Canadian favourites, Brent Butt, Kirk McLean, Dal Richards and Dallas Smith. The parade crowd is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Purolator Tackle Hunger campaign, which will be collected during the parade.
Football BC at CN Field
Join amateur football players at CN Field located at Jack Poole Plaza at 1 pm where we will announce our special Grade 6 and Grade 7 Team BC all-star teams. Our amateur players will also be running through skills stations on the temporary turf field. Come down, support our players, and chat with Football BC coaches!
BC Community Football 12-man provincial championships
12-man provincial champions will be crowned at McLeod Stadium in Langley. Check out all the action with a quadruple-header starting at 9:30 am. The full schedule is as follows:
9:30 am Pee Wee championship: North Delta Longhorns vs. North Langley Bears
12 pm Junior Bantam championship: North Surrey Eagles vs. Victoria Renegades

BC High School Football Senior Semi-Finals
The road to the Subway Bowl continues at UBC Thunderbird Stadium as the final four in the AA, as well as the final four AAA duke it out for the rights to go to the Subway Bowl championship on December 6.

Similar to a torch relay, fans will be selected to carry the Grey Cup to the Tailgate Party at BC Place Stadium for the big game!
