A pair of teammates from the 2010 Team BC that captured the bronze medal at the Football Canada Cup have taken the next step towards making it to the pros after being selected high in the 2014 CFL Draft held on Tuesday, March 13.
OL Matthias Goossen, who played high school football with the Vancouver College Fighting Irish before suiting up for the SFU Clan, was in the first round (2nd overall) by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Goossen's teammate on both Team BC and the SFU Clan, LB Casey Chin, who played high school football with the New Westminster Hyacks, learned that his road to the CFL will stay local after he was nabbed by the hometown BC Lions in the final selection of the third round.
