From Football BC Technical Director Dino Geremia:

Thank you and congratulations to all the coaches who attended the 2014 Football BC Provincial Conference.

Through your attendance alone, you have helped improve football in our province.

The 2014 Conference started off with an inspiring and genuine delivery from CFL legend Anthony Calvillo and, from there, the tone for the weekend was set.

All of our presenters did an outstanding job delivering interesting and unique details from their experiences. You could feel the football knowledge and passion in each session.

One of the highlights of the two-day Conference included the presentation by Roy Gillespie who shared concussion information with relevance to coaches.

While the topic of safety was a major emphasis of the weekend, we were still able to preserve the physicality of our game.

As coaches, we have a very influential role and the "Be More than a Bystander" presentation was a reminder and a call out for all of us to be more accountable through our words and actions.

The coach's role continues to evolve and it takes all of us to commit to improving and developing each year.

We look forward to next year's Conference which will be planned to take place in conjunction with the Orange Helmet weekend.

Once again, a big thank you to all our presenters, our sponsors, our staff and volunteers, as well as to Notre Dame Regional Secondary School for hosting our event.

See you all next year!
