From UBC Thunderbirds Assistant Coach and Recruiting & Special Teams Coordinator, Paul Orazietti:
We are ecstatic at UBC to be able to announce Marcus Davis as UBC's newest Thunderbird. Marcus is the two-time BC High School's Most Outstanding Player and without a doubt bona fide NCAA Division I calibre player.
A proven winner, he is an exciting and electrifying player who has propelled all of his teams to championships over the last six years of his career and will no doubt bring the same type of excitement and energy to the Point Grey campus of UBC. Football ability notwithstanding, Marcus is a tremendous person with impeccable character. The combination of football talent and humility make him a rare find indeed.
Marcus will join his brother Terrell (recently transferred from Arizona State University) on the offensive side of the ball as a multi-positional weapon at UBC. Marcus was recruited by numerous NCAA Division I schools including Washington State, North and South Carolina to name a few, but chose to stay close to home, to take advantage of a world-class education, play with his older brother, and create something special at UBC.
From the beginning of the recruitment process we thought of Marcus as a transformative type player in terms of his talent. We are excited now to see this all come to life on the football field at UBC in 2014.
