Former 2013 Team BC teammates Maleek Irons (W.J. Mouat Hawks) and Zach Wilkinson (Mt. Douglas Rams) made their respective college choices official in a Signing Day event held at the BC Lions Training Facility on Wednesday.

Maleek, the 2013 AAA Offensive MVP, confirmed he will be headed to the University of Ohio while Wilkinson, the 2013 AAA Defensive MVP, committed to the University of Northern Colorado.

Also in attendance at the ceremony was Tracey Lawley, mother of 2013 Team BC player Sheriden Lawley (W.J. Mouat Hawks), who confirmed her son has committed to the University of Connecticut.

Irons, Wilkinson and Lawley were three of the five BC High School Football athletes who announced their NCAA Division One intentions on Wednesday.

Also confirming their choices on this day were 2013 Team BC member Brayden Lenius (Carson Graham Eagles), who committed to the University of Washington, as well as Blake Whiteley (West Vancouver Highlanders), who committed to the University of Texas Longhorns.

BC High School Football also hopes to announce the signings of AAA MVP and 2013 Team BC member Marcus Davis (Mt. Douglas Rams) as well as Jonathan Kongbo (Holy Cross Crusaders) with NCAA schools later this month.
