Final day at the 2013 Flag Football National Championship

U-16 Boys

Game 1: BC def. Saskatchewan 49-13 (Semi-Final)

Team BC has booked their ticket to the gold medal game after pounding Saskatchewan 49-13 in the semi-final. Gabriel Saklofsky caught three touchdown passes while Drey Blair caught one touchdown pass and added two rushing touchdowns as part of the big win. Bobby Singh Jr. had two sacks while Tyler Moxin had an interception on the defensive side of the ball.

Game 2: Ontario def. BC 19-18 (Gold Medal Game)

Team BC's bid for a gold medal fell just short as they dropped a 19-18 decision to Ontario in the championship final. BC trailed 13-0 at half-time but staged a second-half comeback to take a 18-13 lead briefly but gave up a late score to lose.

Drey Blair was named the tournament's defensive MVP.

Tournament record: 6-1

Tournament placing: 2nd (Silver Medal)

U-18 Girls

Game 1: BC def. Nova Scotia 12-6

It took five games but the Team BC U-18 girls not only managed to pick up their first points of the tournament but their first win as well out-dueling Nova Scotia 12-6 in a shootout. Team BC moves onto the medal round and will have a chance to play for a medal later today.

 
Game 2: Quebec def. BC 49-0 (Semi-Final) 

Game 3: Manitoba def. BC 14-0 (Bronze Medal Game)

Tournament Record: 1-6

Tournament Placing: 4th
